[Q: Is there a way to make the BusLogic BT-958 be scsi0 and the Adaptec 2940
be scsi1, so that sda is on the BusLogic controller?]
[A: Disable the 2940 BIOS, and compile aic7xxx as a module]
Duh. Good idea. This almost works. At least I can have the drives attached
to the 2940 powered on (with the 2940 BIOS disabled), and the BusLogic card
is seen as scsi0. When it gets to loading the aic7xxx module, however,
there are problems:
aic7xxx: Warning - detected auto-termination on controller:
aic7xxx: <Adaptec AHA-294X Ultra SCSI host adapter> at PCI 11/0
aic7xxx: Please verify driver detected settings are correct.
aic7xxx: If not, then please properly set the device termination
aic7xxx: in the Adaptec SCSI BIOS by hitting CTRL-A when prompted
aic7xxx: during machine bootup.
aic7xxx: Cables present (Int-50 NO, Ext-50 NO)
aic7xxx: Termination Enabled

Connected to the 2940 are an HP C3725S (ID 1) and a ZIP drive (ID 5).
The kernel is 2.0.34 (smp), and I have applied the aic7xxx-5.0.19-2.0.34.patch
patch.
Now what?
