Best Ultra 2 for linux?

Whats the most stable, best performing ultra 2 card for the money?
(for linux)

I see the ncr53c895 mentioned a fair bit here, best deal? Who sells
a card? Which brand? How much? Is the ncr53c896 (dual channel) supported?

I prefer buslogic, but I don't believe they have an ultra 2 available yet...
I try to avoid adaptec when I can.

I've searched a couple distributors and found a fair number of ultra2 drives,
but only the adaptec U2 controllers. Any URL for Ultra-2 controllers
that work with linux?
