There seems to be a problem with all of the IO-APIC enabled problems and
Adaptec 2940 controllers. All of the peole who have reported problems
have either had a 2940 controller, or have a MB with a built in 2940
controller.

I wonder is this more a problem with the driver (I notice a file called
spinlocks.txt in the Documentation directory referring to making the
aix7xxx driver more SMP friendly) than a problem with the
kernels/motherboards.

Anyone know the status of the aix7xxx drivers??

Have fun.
