(I don't think the seach facility works properly though. I also have a
copy of these and other mailing lists).
I think the SC875 is darned good value; the Adaptec stuff has had a lot
of complaints lately (although we use some 2940's without problems, but
that isn't on kernels beyond 2.0.30), and BusLogic/Mylex seems to be
liked by everybody.
That reminds me, there were some messages before about AHA 2940 problems
but I didn't see solutions... maybe the 5.0.4 version has a fix?
