Hi
I've got one of these working in my system. I used the fdomain driver, but I had to bodge the BIOS signature.I was a bit wary, but it seems to work ok.
I added this line to the list:
{ "IBM F1 P2", 5, 9, 3, 2, 1 },
I cribbed the BIOS version from the reports given on boot-up, and used ms-dos debug to get the signature. I agree the signature is a bit short, but I know what cards I've got.
I moved my drive from an AHA1540 to the 2920 with no data loss (touch wood)
but I'm not sure how much speed benefit I'm seeing.. Nothing earth-shattering, but enough for the users to notice. Mind, the system changed from 486-66 to P166.
If anyone has comments about what I've done, I'd be pleased to read them.

Has anybody got any tips for making an Adaptec AHA-2920 SCSI card work
with linux? I don't need full functionality, just enough to control my
DAT drive. Red Hat say that you can get it to work using a Future Domain
driver, but I haven't succeeded yet.
