Many thanks for the advice. I've got some level of functionality now;
it's not right yet - keeps locking up, probably after missing a command
reply from the tape drive. I'll have to get some detail tracing going to
see properly what's going on. One tip for others - watch out for IO
conflicts with sound cards. My sound card's currently out of the machine
while I figure some alternate IO addresses for it to use.
