When formatting the cartrdiges using DOS, use the Syquest tools, and it works ok. We also use these drives for Linux/Unix education, and the same problem occurs when formatting using Linux. Unforunately I don not have a solution for this (neither have Adaptec or SyQuest, I've contacted them both). If someone has a solution, please let me know. Marcel
