Re: Any preferences for PCI SCSI controllers? Or is this a religious issue?

I would recommend for the BusLogic and against the Adaptec 2940.  I've
had three systems with 2940 type controllers and all have been the
cause of many problems.  The systems with BusLogic controllers though
have all worked 100%.

BusLogic actively supports Linux whereas Adaptec doesn't.

There are drivers for both in the 2.0.x kernels.
