Try the following:
1) Turn on the computer and boot into Linux.
2) Tape recognised?
YES) I don't know...
NO) Reboot into Win95
3) Use the tape
4) Reboot into Linux
5) Tape recognised?
NO) Bad luck...
YES) Seek out the Windows95 Hardware manager for the parameters of the
SCSI card / tape drive and feed it into the LILO command line for the
low level SCIS driver or put it into /etc/modules.conf
(or /etc/conf.modules) if you compiled the driver as module.
6) Cold boot several times.
7) Tape recognised at every boot ?
NO) ???
YES) Format Win95 partition immediately.
