Howdy guys,
I'm very new to SCSI stuff but I'm learning fast, I have a small,
unimportant question for you experts out there.
I have a ST42400N ( actuall I've 3 ) and there are no terminating
resistors on the drive ( the sip slots are empty ). I chanced plugging it
in to see does it work, it's the only drive on the bus, and it does work.
Could someone tell me why?
Also I intend mesing with raid0 stuff tomorrow when I get a cable. I have
a scsi cdrom and conner drive on the internal bus and I'll be putting 2 of
those beasts on the external bus. I know that I have to disable the
terminating pack on the 1542, what way have I to configure the other
devices on the bus.
Any info/comments much appreciated
John
