Well, we use SMC Elite Ultra's, and they are as solid as can be. We used
NE2k clones for a while, but the machines with the heaviest network load
(e.g. WWW server and NNTP server with several big incoming feeds) would
crash frequently and silently, with no kernel panic; the machine would
just lock up. Replaced the NE2k's with SMC Ultra's (still only 16-bit),
and they are solid as a rock now.

FYI: Kernel on the news server is 1.2.5. Compiled and installed 1.2.10,
but since it's stable, I'd like to just leave it up as long as possible.

The kernel on the WWW servers is 1.2.10.
