Hello,
I am having trouble setting up my system for dialing in and using ppp.
I will be using CHAp to authenticate it. But I am wondering if CHAP is all
that neccesary? What are it's big advantages? Can someone send me thier ppp
setup filesso I can see how o do mine.
My server says:
Username:
password:
Chalenge: *****:
resonse:
Then logs you in and starts ppp automagicaly.

What extra must I do for chap? Is my hostname automatcaly set? To the
dialup-*.axess.net?
If not can I write a script for dialing in setting up hostname, sendmail -q,
and poping my mail all at once?
Also,
Is anyone using a cache server on thier dial up connection? I want to but I
am having some trouble with the directions in the NAG.
