Make sure PLug-and-Pray is Disabled. (Use a Dos boot disk and the
utilities disk that came with the card, there should be a batch file
called pnp::something::.bat, that will disable plug-and-pray.)
Also, I've had problems with the card autodetecting the port when I'm
using the BNC connector, so you might want to use the 3com installation
disk to specify explicitly which interface (aui, BNC, RJ-45) you are
using.
Great card once you get it going! I'm gradually replacing all the NE2000
cards in our local and client systems with the 3COM509B's.
Good luck,
Paul
