Dear All Emacs-Painfully-Slow_loading-Problem-Havers,

The following is a solution I found (I am running EMACS 19.28 on a
486/66 with 8M of RAM, with emacs compiled for X, with dynamic libs)
so that emacs no longer takes 10 seconds to load - now it takes 2
seconds the first time I run it, then, every invocation after that, it
loads INSTANTLY. Do the following:

1) Make SURE the sticky bit is set on your emacs executable (else it
will take 2 seconds to load every time.)

2) This is the IMPORTANT PART- remove the /usr/local/lib/emacs/site-lisp/
directory (this should be empty). Then, link the
   /usr/local/lib/emacs/19.28/lisp/ directory to the
   /usr/local/lib/emacs/site-lisp/ directory.

3) Execute EMACS and have fun with the speed :).

-Seth
