This is the first announcement of Xfinans, a personal accounting
program for X11. The program was originally developed in Danish, hence
its (non-English) name; except for this point, the user interface has
been translated to English.
Xfinans lets you keep track of the balances of your bank accounts,
perform searches through your transactions, plot the balances, compute
interest, etc.
The implementation is based on the X Toolkit and Athena Widgets; it is
developed on a Linux system, but has been compiled and run under Sun
Solaris, too. Other UNIX/X11 platforms can probably also be used.
The complete sources and a couple of demo accounts have been uploaded
to sunsite.unc.edu, /pub/Linux/Incoming, file xfinans-4.3.tar.gz
In near future, it will probably be moved to the more permanent location
sunsite.unc.edu:/pub/Linux/apps/accounting/xfinans-4.3.tar.gz
Xfinans is distributed as freeware under the terms of the GNU General
Public Licenses.
