I've just put a new, slightly modified e2fsprogs 0.5c on tsx-11.mit.edu.
The only difference between this updated 0.5c release and the previous
one is that the binary distribution files have been stripped, and e2fsck
is now linked statically. The install productions in the Makefiles in
the source distribution have been updated as well.
So, if you grabbed a version of e2fsprogs 0.5c where the version date
(printed by the programs and in version.h in the top level of the source
distribution) is 25-Oct-95, you may want to pick up a new version, dated
26-Oct-95. There aren't any bugs fixed; the binaries are just stripped
before installation so they take up a little less room, and e2fsck is
now linked statically so that it will work even if filesystem corruption
has damaged the shared libraries.
