Literate Software systems would like to welcome you for a public beta testing
of Across Lite for Linux, a multi-platform (windows, mac, os/2, unix) crossword
viewer/solver/printing system that can be used as a helper application on
most browsers on all supported platforms. When used this way, clicking
on a link to a crossword puzzle in Across format will result in the puzzle
being downloaded and Across Lite started up by the browser with the puzzle
loaded and ready for solving and/or printing. Across Lite was designed to
promote on-line distribution of crossword puzzles.
Across Lite for Linux is available in a.out format in both dynamically
linked as well as statically linked (to Motif only) versions.
Although not freeware, a complimentary copy of the latest released version will
always be made available for all supported platforms on our web and ftp
sites for personal use.
