I just spent the greater part of 2 hours trying to figure out why
dvips didn't work on my lab machine. In the end ckclark helped me
figure out that it was because sipb stopped actually supporting the
Athena copy of the locker: some of the pk font symlinks were missing
from the Athena version, but enough of the path was there that I
wasn't even aware that I was looking at a different filesystem, and my
symlink in /mit was out of date. If we have two redundant lockers,
they should be the same. If we don't have space or enough time to
maintain them identically, punt one.
