I have installed a new version of betaxrn in the sipb locker, for the
VAX, RT, DECstation and RS/6000 platforms (again, I can't install for
the Sun because I can't remotely log into dt).
This new version is supposedly what is going to soon become the
official 6.18 release. It is the third 6.18 beta release.
In addition to some minor bug fixes, it has one new feature -- if the
"highlightSubjects" resource is true (or the "+highlightSubjects"
command-line option is specified), Subject lines of postings will be
displayed in reverse video. This option isn't documented in the man
page, because it's experimental, but it is in the usage message for
the program.
Also, I've compiled it with -O on all platforms, which will result in
a speed-up on some platforms (most notably, the RT).
As mentioned before on this list, if you want to use this and you have
XFILESEARCHPATH set in your environment, you need to add
/mit/sipb/lib/%T/beta/%N to the front of it before
/mit/sipb/lib/%T/%N.
Let me know if there are any problems.
