Situation: Two xterms.
xterm 1: ytalk swilliam@tbird.cc.iastate.edu
xterm 2: ytalk swilliam@du139-202.cc.iastate.edu
THEN: swilliam@du139-202 responds, and the ytalk in xterm ONE puts him up.
in the mean time, xterm 2 is still ringing him. tbird gets only one ring.
That is, at least, what seems to have happened here.
