Re cut-and-paste at mouse position: Please leave x-mouse.el in such a
way that it does the default 18.57 behavior, and put a setq in
site-init.el so that our local behavior pastes at the cursor position
by default. That's the appropriate way to make local customizations
that change functionality.
Credit where credit is due: the x-paste-move-point patch was
originally written by me, and I set it to false in my .emacs file
really early :-).
Re rmail file incompatibilities: Interesting, I've used emacs 18.57
with old rmail files, and I've never noticed any trouble at all.
Calvin, could you please be more specific about exactly what the
incompatibility is and exactly what is going to be affected?
