The RMAIL label stuff will not cause major breakage if you mix 18.54 and
18.57 BABYL formats. If you use labels, then the labels will sometimes
appear with extra spaces (reading with 18.54 elisp), or may not appear
at all (when using 18.57 elisp with 18.54 BABYL format; ?? speculation,
haven't tried recently).
