Important X locker information (part 2 of 2)

Two pieces of information:
1. The locker transition (the change of the x11r5 pointer to
point to the new version of the locker) is scheduled to
happen Friday (i.e., Thursday night sometime).
For this transition, I plan to have the directory name
"x11r5nu" changed to "x11r5" and have the current "x11r5"
changed to "x11r5old."
Attach x11r5 will then get you the new R5 and attach
x11r5old will get you the old. The old locker will be
made unavailable at some point in the future.
2. I have had a mailing list, "athena-x-news," created for the
distribution of all further news relating to the maintenance
of X lockers of all kinds (including but not limited to all
X11 lockers, Motif lockers, and wcl lockers).
_This mailing list is intended only for important locker
maintenance and availability announcements._
I strongly encourage all users of the X lockers to subscribe
to this list, possibly by typing
blanche athena-x-news -a $user
at a shell prompt.
This list will be archived in the meeting xnews on menelaus:

Participation: Public
coming soon to a new meetings meeting near you. This meeting

not come to this distribution list - it will go to the new list
athena-x-news.
Any comments about (problems with...) the X11 or Motif lockers should
be directed to me (cfields). Comments about the wcl locker should go
to brlewis.
