mkserv
Actually, the comment that I'm working on this is not completely
accurate. It's on my list of things to do, but behind moira/register
which is what I'm working on.
I'd like to ask the release team to grant a waiver to demote mkserv
from a req. ot a desirement for this release only. Since we have
never had mkserv for the sgi this is not to big of a deal.
The issue is that mkserv was never posixified when it was ported to
Solaris (it still uses libucb), so porting to IRIX should include
posixification in addition to that IRIX specific changes. In turn,
the more extensive changes mean that we may want to be more careful
about testing/auditing the changes. Given these facts and the higher
priority things on my plate, it is likely that mkserv won't be ready
until after we want to go to field
Bill and I agree that in this case it is appropriate to make mkserv a
desirement. Does anyone object?
