After a bit of futzing to get my Dell 755 with wide screen monitor
running the proprietary fglrx driver in wide screen mode, I did:

add ooffice
ooffice

It started up OOfice 2.4.1 just fine.

I then did ooffice -ver 2.3.1

That too started open office just fine.

Someone needs to visit W20 and try this from an account other than
geofft, to see if it is account specific. Examining the xorg.0.log
file and /etc/X11/xorg.conf might also be instructive.

geofft said these were 745s not 755s so my test may not be valid.
I'll see about scaring up an Athena 745 with wide screen to test with.

-Bill
