Issues:
We continue to have more of our share of window manager bugs because
the sawfish window manager has become marginalized.
It continues to be extra effort to make GNOME software work properly
under Solaris.
Finding some appropriate way to get sound working on the new hardware.
It is, at present, unclear how the presently existing driver support
will get back ported to the version of Red Hat currently in use.
Key learnings:
Additional comments:
We dropped the old method of machine counting as of July 1, 2003.
We dropped accounting for SGI with the official de-support on July 1,
2003.
We re-formatted the machine counts for clearer display of the count
over time.
Athena Monthly machine counts:
Method: On install, machines get a unique ID. Each day every system
reports its existance to a central syslog. This method over-counts
systems installed multiple times. Systems running Athena than 9.0 or
earlier are not counted.
