Hi, I'm sorry, I meant to send mail about this yesterday.

Garry attempted to build an OpenAFS module which works with the Red
Hat 7.1 kernel and, while it built, the resulting module didn't work.
It appears that getting AFS to work with Red Hat 7.1 is an open-ended
task.

We could, as someone suggested, try to use Red Hat 7.1 with a kernel
from 7.0, but I don't think that's really going to result in fewer
headaches than just running Red Hat 7.0.

So I think our alternatives are "pray for a miracle happen by very
early May" or "use Red Hat 7.0 for fall term." We might be able to do
Red Hat 7.1 during IAP if there isn't too much else going on.
