I'm not totally thrilled with this either, given that Red Hat 7.0 with
current updates uses a kernel (2.2.19) which *also* doesn't work with our
current AFS module. (Although perhaps this is a more tractable problem
than something for the 2.4.2 kernel.) I would not want to be in the
position of being unable to take necessary 7.0 updates from Red Hat
because we've locked ourselves into an obsolete kernel.
