I'd recommend not wasting effort on disabling the old SGI
work-around, unless there is an appreciable number of those
89 machines who are in the Beta cluster.
We're just gonna have to undo the disable if we get the hardware
or software fix. So I'd be inclined to recommend doing nothing.
