Bob,

We use Confluence for general University wikis and for our ITS KB content: =
https://wiki.albany.edu/display/askit.

It can publish publicly, to only authenticated viewers via LDAP, or to spec=
ific users or groups defined in the system. This was a relatively recent ch=
ange from static HTML or PDF instructions and information and, in my opinio=
n, has proven to be a dramatic improvement for accessibility, searchability=
(content crawl and keywords), and ease of updating.

Subject: Anyone using conflunece as your client facing Knowledge Base?

Hello all,

We're investigating the possibility of saving some money by discontinuing o=
ur client-facing knowledgebase solution (Right Answers) and using one of ou=
r existing, cheaper platforms instead. Our 2 most likely options are someth=
ing like DRUPAL as a CMS or our enterprise wiki (Confluence).

Curious if anyone out there has links to examples of client-facing knowledg=
e bases that you are proud of using either of these platforms that you woul=
dn't mind sharing.

Thanks in Advance,

Bob Black
