I have two questions that perhaps can be answered by the collective wisdom
out there:
1. I have been used to accessing INFOTRAC through Cleveland Public Library
(library.cpl.org) and when I logged on yesterday I found that their
interface had been changed. While that in itself is not a problem, I
also found that I could not access INFOTRAC any more, even though it
was listed as an option in the introductory screen. The command for INFOTRAC
used to be "d2", and the command for help "inf". Now INFOTRAC supposedly
has a special key. My assumption here is that the licensing agreement
that CPL has with Information Access Corp. prohibits public access through
the net. Is that a correct assumption, or did CPL just completely
discount remote users when redesigning the interface?
2. Failing any resolution to the CPL problem, is there anyone else on the
net that mounts Infotrac on their systems? It was a nice resource to use
when we needed something reviewed in the general literature.
