We are trying to find a way to put notes in our opac (NOTIS)
that will direct users from a serial record to an index. For
example, we want to direct users from a serial record for
NASA Contractor Reports to the STAR. Such as:
The library has many NASA contractor reports not
listed in the online catalog. To search for
contractor reports by subject, title, author, use
the Scientific and Technical Aerospace Reports
Index.
Is anyone else doing something similar to this message? We are
considering putting in a note field in the bib record. Has
anyone else found a different way to direct users?
