We use the AT&T 5400. It has 10 channels preselected and covers both
floorsf our approx. 50,000 square foot building. It The signal cannot
penetrate more than one concrete wall, but it can go through metal
shelving. Reference staff find it particularly useful because they
can go to the stacks and talk with the patron as they search for the
answer. It has also come in very handy when troubleshooting computer
hardware that is not near a phone jack. We have been very pleased,
and plan to buy more.
