UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN
A new position of University Librarian has been created in the Division
of Information Services to provide leadership and management for
planning and coordinating all functional areas of the library.
Campus libraries are located at Nathan, Mt Gravatt, City, Seven Hills
and Gold Coast.
The University Librarian will report to the Head of the Division, the
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Information Services). The Division of Inform-
ation Services is an integrated unit comprising library, information
technology and educational technology services.
Duties of the position include responsibility for the planning,
development and approval of policies and procedures relating to
library services on all campuses of the University, leadership in
the development and provision of library services to the University
community, promotion of library services (both internal and
external), management, control and administration of the library
functional areas, budget preparation and financial implementation,
supervision of staff and representation on committees, working
parties and outside organisations, as required.
The appointee will have a degree and/or professional qualification
in Librarianship together with extensive managerial experience in
academic libraries.
REMUNERATION: A salary package valued up to $94,500, including
superannuation and a car.
