Subject: a book proposal
I am interested in hearing from someone who has implemented a Mac-based
integrated library system (CASPR or similar). I am seeking a case study
chapter writer for a book providing practical information to librarians
who wish to emulate an effective and successful implementation. The
case study would need to cover all aspects of the local project, from
planning and funding, to implementation, evaluation and future goals.
I am looking for the ASCII text file equivalent of 15-20 pages, double-
spaced; first draft to me by the end of July. The book will be published
by Meckler; $ remuneration, helpful and attentive editorial assistance
and the chance to see your name circulated widely in print await. If
interested, please reply to me:

I'm searching for the Innovative Interfaces Inc. address on BITNET.

I'm interested in evaluation on Innopac Library System too.

We are planning to introduce a Library Automation System in our library,
and I've seen that in USA Innopac is very popular.

I'd like to know which kind of libraries has Innopac, if there are
installation in Europe and where, if there is a "European strategy" by
Innovative, and a general evaluation by the users.

Thank you very much, please send answers at my address, I don't want
disturb the list people...

Subject: Scanning into MARC format
Our library is interested in scanning bibliographic information, but would
like to know of software that would allow it to scan into MARC format. Does
this exist? Feel free to respond to me personally, rather than to PACS-L if
the answer to this query is obvious to everyone but me!

Greetings.

We have been on the PALS system for nearly 3 years and experienced one week in
March when the system was down for nearly the entire week. I would like to
know what kinds of backup systems, such as COM, are used. Also, what are the
approx. startup and ongoing costs? You may send responses to the list or
  to me:
