HEAD OF REFERENCE: Search continued.  Reports directly to the Director
of Public Services.  Will interact extensively with the directors of
Collection Development and the Idaho Health Sciences Library as well
as with other staff.  Responsibilities include supervision, training,
and scheduling of reference staff with shared evenings/weekends ref-
erence desk coverage; bibliographic instruction, including CD - ROMS/
VTLS; computerized database searching; budgeting; collection develop-
ment and faculty liaison in reference and assigned subject areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:  An ALA-accredited MLS, strong communications skills,
and demonstrated ability to work with a diverse community.  Three years
reference experience and the ability to supervise and manage the work
of a library department required.  Demonstrated teaching ability and
knowledge of computer applications, particulary CD - ROM LANS, preferred.
SALARY: $28,000.00 minimum, depending on qualifications and experience.
Twelve-month faculty appointment, 24 days annual leave, 12 days sick
leave; TIAA/CREF or VALIC; medical and dental insurance.  Review of
