Re. Volker Stewart's question about copycard mechanisms on CD-ROM printers.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have a laser printer attached to one of our CD-ROM workstations, with
an EMOS copycard unit attached, and have found that it works very
successfully. All of our photocopiers are operated via copycards, so
our readers are accustomed to using them. We charge one unit per A4 size
page. This has been in operation for around 4 months without any major
problems. The only minor problem is that some of the databases do not
send a form feed to the printer if less than a page is printed, which
can mean that data remains in the printer and may be charged against the
next user's copycard. Other than that we are very happy with it.
If you need any more info then please get in touch with me directly.
