AMIGOS Bibliographic Coucil, Inc. located in Dallas, Texas has an immediate
opening for an individual who has experience working with library records and
manipulation of those records within a variety of automated library databases.

               PROGRAMMER/ANALYST OR SENIOR PROGRAMMER/ANALYST

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Compter Science or Information Science.  Revellent work
experience may be substituted on the basis of two yeas of work for one year of
college level courses.  Prefer masters degree in Information Science from an
ALA accredited school.

EXPERIENCE:
Two years experience with Unix and C Language within library automated systems
(three years for senior position), including work with MARC records, cataloging
and technical background.  Prefer experience to also include Informix DBMS.

SKILL:
Ability to read and interpret AMIGOS project documents and write specifications
using those documents and direct communcation with library client.

Ability to work as member and/or leader of a team.  Good oral and written
communication skills.

Experience with HP 9000 preferred.

Salary Range Begins at $29,000
