Subject: Future of automation / just-in-time

The analogy with just-in-time information provision breaks down when you
consider one of the library functions which is specifically to maintain
information just in case; that is, our archiving role. Toyota has no
mandate or interest in maintaining 1982 Toyotas in case someone needs them.
(One coul perhaps extend the analogy to their spare parts inventory for
repair of older models, but I think that would assist my point rather than
controvert it.)
