Description:  Map librarians and experts share their knowledge in this
program intended for general reference librarians who deal with map
reference questions without a formal map collection in their library.  The
development of a basic cartographic collection will be discussed, including
determining what you need, how to acquire it, and how to spend limited
funds wisely.  Commercial and government maps and atlases will be included.
Many informational handouts, bibliographies, and publishers' brochures will
be available.
