My school system is creating a new position of half-time "Computer
Coordinator". This will be a system-wide postition (we have about 1500
studentsK-12), with primary responsibility for administering the Novell network
to be
installed by next fall. The network will be used for financial and student
management and teaching basic programming, with some word processing, at first.
If you have a similar position in your school, I'd like to hear from
you and have you send me a job description. I'm on a committee charged with
writing one for our position. I'd be particularly interested in hearing from
schools in which the library media specialist also acts as computer
coordinator,whether officially or unofficially.
Thanks,
Kathy Lowe, Library Media Specialist
