While paper will be indispensable, many trade publishers are
really taking a look at new sorts of electronic documents, esp.
those from Voyager in Santa Monica.  They will be at the A.B.A.
in Anaheim, CA showing off a lot of new titles. One of the
ones that just appeared is Neil Postman's _Amusing Ourselves to
Death_, his strong critique of television now on floppy disk!

I was asking Voyager when they predicted that books would be
published concurrently in print and on disk, but they are just
embarking on this new medium (cheap books on floppies) and
it's too early to tell.  Add to that the authoring tools that
are becoming available, and you will have true laptop publishing.
