SYSTEMS LIBRARIAN, Creighton University, Omaha, NE
Primary responsibilities: administer and support the integrated library
system and its related products for Creighton University Libraries.
Participate in planning and implementing enhancements to the library
system. Oversee data collection and analysis for all library and
digital archive modules. Liaison between library staff, vendors and
Division of Information Technology to provide an integrated application
that meets defined and projected needs.
Required qualifications: Masters degree in library science from an
accredited ALA program or equivalent combination of education and
experience. Three to five years of technical and library experience.
Ability to work within a team and independently. Must have logical,
analytical, and problem-solving skills. Must have good interpersonal
communication skills: written and oral.=20
Preferred qualifications: Two years of library systems administration
experience. Experience with SIRSI Library System Administration.
Knowledge of Oracle databases, Unix Operating System, and Microsoft
Office Products via ODBC. Knowledge and experience with Javascript,
HTML, and XML. =20
