With the support from the European Commission, Research DG, Human
Potential Programme, High-Level Scientific Conferences, contract nr
HPCF-CT-2000-00083, ERCIM offers fellowships to young European
researchers who wish to participate at the ECDL 2001 conference in
Darmstadt, Germany, 4-9 September 2001 (http://www.ecdl2001.org/).
Candidates must fulfil the following criteria:
* to be citizen of the European Union countries or associated
countries (Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Cyprus,
Estonia, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Latvia, Liechtenstein,
Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia)
* to be active inside an European Union country or an associated
country
* not older than 35 years at the time of the Conference. Allowance
will be made for compulsory military or civil service (actual time spent
in military or civil service) and childcare (maximum 2 years per child
for the actual time spent off the work).
The fellowship will cover the travel costs (economic class airplane
ticket or second class train ticket or bus ticket) and the registration
fee. The travel will be organised by ERCIM's travel
agency. The selected applicant will have to cover his/her expenses for
accomodation and subsistence.
