We've all talked about collection development issues in an online age:
* How do you budget when a print source has a one-time cost but an online
source has ongoing maintenance fees?
* What do you do when a publisher wants to sell you a package rather than
the individual titles you actually want?
* How do you deal with unacceptable licensing terms?
* Can you/should you cancel the print format in favor of Internet access?
* Are you worried about permanent access to archives?
* And so on
The Spring 2001 issue of Issues in Science and Technology Librarianship
(http://www.istl.org/) will deal with online collection development issues
as they relate to science and technology libraries.
The editors invite your proposals for articles. Send proposals or
abstracts to aduda@istl.org. Final articles will be due by April 15, 2001.
