The following registration deadlines for "Knowledge Access on the Web:
Metadata Applications" are approaching:

March 27, 2000 - Registration deadline for the April 17-28 seminar, offered
as a joint-sponsorship with CAPCON in Washington, DC.

April 4, 2000 - Registration deadline for the seminar offered April 25-26 in
Dublin, Ohio.

March 31, 2000 - Early-bird registration deadline for the seminar offered
May 15-16 in Dublin, Ohio.

The "Knowledge Access Management" seminar is a 1.75-day seminar which offers
participants an overview of Web-based resource description systems and
detailed instruction in the Dublin Core metadata. As a member of a small
project team, participants design and implement a MARC- or webserver-based
resource description system using metadata records for a real-world
collection. Where feasible, projects are real-life projects submitted in
advance by participants. Participants evaluate the resource description
system in terms of design and functionality, including data input, storage,
retrieval, and display.
Details of these seminars, including a full description, agenda, costs and
registration information, can be found at
