I agree with Bernie Sloan that a lot of the lively discussion on PACS-l
migrated to other lists.  I know when CDROMLAN formed, a lot of the
important technical discussion migrated there, and that when WEB4LIB
started up it instantly attracted most of the lively discussion on all
topics.  It might make a good thesis for a graduate student to investigate
how the "invisible college" migrated through lists in the 90's, and how
much carryover there is from the old PACS-l to Web4lib.
