PROGRAMMER ANALYST III Sr. VP~BUSINESS & FINANCE: Information Resources &
Communications: California Digital Library Technologies. Salary: $50,000 -
$80,100. Responsibilities: As a member of the California Digital Library
Technologies (CDLT) unit, provide workstation-based support for user
interfaces for the University of California Digital Library (CDL) system
through programming, design, and analysis. Develop complex UNIX-based
application and protocol software for CDL systems. Modify and maintain
developed software in response to input from campus and end users. Enhance
pre-existing software packages to provide new functionality. With senior
staff participate in specification and design of the technical environment
and system for workstation-based applications, including end user interfaces
for the CDL system (such as WEB server applications) and system packages.
Provide unit staff with technical support and training on issues concerning
UNIX, C programming language, etc. Provide analytical support for defining
requirements and establishing the technical environment for developing UNIX
applications for CDL systems. Analyze available UNIX tools and components
and make recommendations as to how to best integrate them into the evolving
system. Qualifications: Must have significant related experience in C
programming and Perl, and working knowledge of UNIX operating system,
including scripting, and HTML. Must have strong math, analytical, and
logical reasoning skills, problem recognition and resolution, and excellent
oral and communications skills. Must have the ability to prioritize work and
be flexible, and be able to work independently or as part of a team. Closing
