I am interested in what other librarys are doing to meet the information
requirements of the Animal Welfare Act.
The library administration at USC has been told that researchers, who use
animals in their work and are applying for federal grants, must submit
the strategy of a computer search that they have done on animal testing
alternatives relating to their research with their grant application.
I would like to know how other librarys are handling this and especially-
which databases you have found most useful;
your opinion of AGRICOLA for this type of search and how much you use
it;
if you have a special form that is signed and given to researchers
stating a search was done in compliance with the act and what it
is like.
Any other information, thoughts, or comments on the subject would also be
welcomed.
