"The information you want: will it be available wherever you go?"
The new Palm VII handheld computer with its information services,
the Japanese release of a handheld with videoconferencing capabilities
(although very slow at 2 frames per second), voice recognition systems in
palmtops: how many technologies and information resources will there be in
one very portable device? If so, what are the implications for libraries?
If you'd like to explore such ideas, come to the
Telecommunications Interest Group meeting at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 26,
in the Radisson Hotel - Audaban where a discussion group will be held with
a view to making this into a program for the next annual conference.

Chair, Telecommunications Interest Group
